What is the affiliate programme & how does it work?

The P4P Affiliate Programme gives breeders the opportunity to earn rewards when their new pet owners shop at Petdirect using the breeder’s unique code.

This code is linked to your kennel or cattery prefix, and it helps new owners save, while helping you earn a little something too!

What you, as breeders will get

For every new customer who places their first order using your code, you’ll receive $30 as a thank-you for helping introduce them to Petdirect.

All orders are checked to make sure the code is used correctly, meaning only genuine new owner orders count. Don’t worry, you’ll still have your own breeder discount code for your personal purchases.

How It Works: Step by Step

1. Register to join the affiliate programme
2. Share your code with your new pet owners (usually when their puppy or kitten goes home).
3. The new owner shops at Petdirect.co.nz and enters your unique code at checkout.
4. They enjoy their discount
5. Petdirect tracks the order using your code.
6. Once the order is confirmed as valid, you receive your reward via Impact.com

What New Owners Get

When you give your unique code to new pet owners, they’ll enjoy:

• 50% off Pro Plan food (based on RRP)
• 25% off everything else on Petdirect (based on RRP)

Each new owner can use this code once per email address, so it’s perfect for their first big shop as they prepare for their new furry friend.

Can I use my affiliate code for my own orders?

No. Your affiliate code is for new owners only. You’ll have a separate breeder code for your personal orders.

How many times can the code be used by a new owner?

Each new owner (per email address) can use your code once.

What if someone misuses the code?

Only genuine new puppy or kitten owners are eligible for breeder rewards. Misuse includes sharing the code with anyone who isn’t a new owner or using it for your own purchases.

If the code is misused, the breeder may not be eligible to receive a reward for that order. All orders are reviewed to ensure codes are used appropriately.

What is Impact.com and how do I get paid?

We use Impact.com as our affiliate tracking platform. It’s where all breeder rewards are tracked, validated, and paid out.

When you register for the Affiliate Programme, this will set up your profile with Impact.com.

This is where you’ll:

• See your total rewards and performance
• Link your preferred payment method

We recommend PayPal for fast and secure payments; however, bank transfer is an option if preferred (bank transfers incur a $16 fee charged by Impact.com)
